We had Solomon install a thermostat for our A/C. Before the work started, we told him there was wiring to do on the AC unit in the attic, but he ignored that. He drilled 2 holes into the wall to mount the back plate for the thermostat and connected 2 wires then said he was "done." There was a wire still exposed and he left the actual thermostat device in the other room! He told us he "doesn't do A/C work" and still demanded $125! He kept saying "I've been here for over an hour, this costs $125." I timed him at 45 minutes, which the majority of that time he spent watching YouTube videos on how to install it and reading the manual. I reworked the entire process myself and it only took me 5 or 6 minutes to do exactly what he did, which was drill 2 screws for the mounting plate and connect 2 wires on the wall. He didn't even attach the actual thermostat device. He left it on my kitchen counter in the other room! We told him this was not worth $125 as we DID NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. We told him at the START the job will require re-wire work in the cooling unit in the attic, which he ENSURED us was not the case. He demanded $125 but did not do the job we asked and left us without AC. He told us he was not leaving until we paid him and he sat on our couch until we gave him money. We told him the job was to install our thermostat, which he did not do. He scammed us saying he could do the job, but barely did even half. "Oh, I don't do A/C, you'll have to get another guy to do that part." We paid him $75 just to get off our couch and leave our property.
